Haiti Mission Trip

2010 Haiti Mission TeamMembers of Manchaca UMC have been traveling to Haiti on mission since 2005 and the congregation’s support of this mission has been strong and committed. In Haiti, the team members work with the National Spiritual Council of Haitian Churches (CONASPEH), a Haitian non-governmental organization made up of over 6,700 Christian churches from a multitude of confessions, including Methodists. The team members’ primary focus since 2006 is medical education and medical support to Haitian doctors and nurses. A four-member team traveled in late July 2010 for a week long mission, working in four different medical clinics, delivering three pharmaceutical suitcases from Heart to Heart International, plus four suitcases of medical supplies, and purchasing $775 worth of pharmaceuticals in country.
