International missions support is a way that Manchaca UMC shows its care the people of God located in all corners of the world. At the end of 2009, two missionaries that MUMC had supported for many years retired from Global Ministries to pastor in their local churches. 2010 marked the beginning of a new journey as the MUMC congregation voted to support a new Global Ministries missionary and continue its support of long-time missionaries Ray and Lidia Zirkel in Costa Rica.

Guillermo (Willie) Berman MUMC’s newest international mission partner is Guillermo (Willie) Berman serving the United Methodist Church in his home country of Mexico as the Mexican Methodist Border Mission Coordinator based in Reynosa, Mexico. Manchaca UMC looks forward to a long and close partnership with Willie Berman in the future. MUMC has already sent several adult teams and youth mission teams to Pfarr, Texas, an area within Mr. Berman’s mission area prior to MUMC’s support of his ministry.

The Zirkel Family The Zirkel Family has served in Costa Rica since 1995 and MUMC has supported their ministry since 1996.
