Description:Progressive-minded adults of all ages, the class has an average weekly attendance of 16-20. We strive to support one another in our individual Christian walks with acceptance and understanding. We strive to "do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with God" (Micah 16:8).

Gateway

Description: Individuals with a wide variety of backgrounds and experience, ages 30 and up. Our common goals are to become to become faithful disciples of Christ, to nurture one another, and to serve those in need.

Immanuel

Description: Mostly parents, ages 20 to 40, who focus on family relationships, books of the Bible and various short-term studies. We are a laid-back group who get together socially outside the church and occasionally participate in community service projects.
Marbridge

Seekers
Meeting place: Room 8 (across from the sanctuary)
Make-up: The class is a mixture of couples and singles with a broad range of backgrounds. All adults are welcome to attend.
Study: This is a Bible-based studay group utilizing the Serendipity NIV, available in the classroom. Current study is the Gospel of Mark.
Format: Comfortable and laid back, class consists of reading the passages for the day and open discussion; often leading to how the passages pertain to us in today's world. Class begins and ends with prayer.
Facilitator: A person who has volunteered to prepare the lesson for a given Sunday is the leader for the day. This person generally leads the discussion with prompts and keeps the group focused on the topic.
Activities: Seekers Sunday School Class has been a vibrant part of MUMC for about 18 years. Seekers support others and missions, supporting such things as: providing funds for building community libraries in Vietnam, making regular donations to the MUMC Food Pantry, Capital Area Food Bank, Haiti Relief, UMCOR, Heifer projects, providing yearly back to school love bags for the children of MUMC, and much, much more. Socially, potluck gatherings are also a big deal with the group.
