At Manchaca United Methodist, we believe that children are an important part of the life of the church. We strive to include children in all aspects of ministry - worship, mission, education, stewardship, fellowship and outreach. It is our hope that every child know the love of God through Jesus and feel a sense of belonging to the body of Christ. Our goal is to equip children to seek God's Word, to share God's Love and to serve in God's Kingdom in order to make disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. 

Whole Child Wellness Fair - September 29, 2012

Manchaca UMC is partnering with neighboring faith communities to offer the Whole Child Wellness Fair on September 29, 2012, from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Our goals are:

  • to educate families on important topics that impact children's physical, emotional and spiritual well-being,
  • to motivate participants to make healthy behavior choices, and
  • to connect children and families to the local and federal resources available to them.

We'll have interactive educational booths, health care enrollment, flu shots, and a free store with clothing, books and school supplies!

Next Project:  

Wednesday, July 11, 9:30 am - Animal Shelter in San Marcos:  We'll be meeting at the church at 9:30 to make treats and toys for the animals in the shelter.  Then we'll load up and drive to San Marcos to tour the facility and learn about the animals.  We will not be interacting with the animals.

August 18th – Church Workday – Preparing Rooms for Fall Classes (Wear Swimsuits!)
September 8th - Food Pantry at MUMC
October 20th (During the Fall Festival) - Busy Bags for Dell Children’s Hospital
November 10th & 11th - Veteran's Appreciation Gifts
December 8th - Crafts & Caroling at an Alzheimer’s Facility in Buda

A gathering of parents for fellowship, community building and sharing struggles and triumphs.  Meets first Thursday of every month in the Parlor from 10:30 - Noon.  Our next meeting is June 7.  All are welcome!
