At Manchaca UMC, we believe the Arts are a language of Faith with in the Church, a language of outreach from the Church to the world, and a means of attracting others to the Faith. Our Music & Fine Arts Ministry consists of many different areas and opportunities for involvement including vocal, instrumental, drama, art, & more. We are blessed with many talented people, however, we are always seeking to develop and involve new people of all ages.

Adults

Sanctuary Choir - Sings at 11:15 a.m. Sunday Worship. The choir presents a cantata at Christmas and a special program during Holy Week. Rehearses 6:45 - 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Choir Room. Mark Hixon, director.

Glory Bells - Handbell choir rings monthly at 11:15 a.m. worship and for special seasonal music presentations. Rehearses 7:30-9 p.m. Thursday in the Bell Choir Room.  Nancy Bourell, director.

Praise Band - Instrumentalists and vocalists for 9 a.m. Sunday worship. "Such as These" rehearse 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Sanctuary.

Youth

Youth Praise Band - Rehearses 5- 6 p.m. in the Sanctuary the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month.

Youth Choir - Open to any Middle School or High School Youth. Rehearses in the Sanctuary;the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month from 5- 6 p.m.

Children - 2011/2012 is underway!

Ring 'n' Sing (2nd-5th grades) - Presents Christmas and spring musicals. Rehearses 4:30-6 p.m. Sunday in the Choir Room. September through April

Kids of the Kingdom (kindergarten-1st grade) - Rehearses 5 -6 p.m. Sunday, September through April

Cherub Choir (3-5 years old) - Rehearses 5-6 p.m. Sundays September/October
