The scope of the original Build, Serve, Grow campaign included plans to renovate both worship spaces. Renovations to the main sanctuary were completed in December 2017 and now its time to turn our attention to the Family Life Center.
The goal is to enhance the space for Sunday morning worship while still maintaining a multi-function room. Any renovation will NOT convert the FLC into a permanent worship setting, but it will help create a more worshipful atmosphere for our contemporary worship service. The plan includes addressing six main areas in the FLC:
1) Paint all walls
2) New ceiling and lights
3) Replace all flooring
4) Build a new stage with storage areas
5) Audio/Video upgrades
6) Renovate the FLC Restrooms.
Church Interiors, Inc. is also including optional plans to renovate the main hospitality area and hallways in the main church building.
Of course, we must consider the overall cost and timing of these renovations. If we decide to immediately move forward with these renovations, then the practical solution is to borrow the money based upon the congregation's commitment to support such a loan. This has not yet been presented to the church because we are still working with Church Interiors, Inc to come up with a plan for action. However, the Trustees will present a proposal and potential cost at the next Church Council meeting on April 19 at 7pm.
