Community Basketball Court
We welcome the community to use the basketball court at our covered Pavilion located at the back of our west parking lot. We often hear that it is our most used facility. Click here for more information and perhaps some inspiration.
Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat
The fall festival is FREE family fun for the whole community. Held in October during the pumpkin patch, there is live music, hayrides, handmade crafts from our amazing craft ladies, food, games, and face painting! Stay tuned for more information in the fall.
Habitat for Humanity
Manchaca UMC participates in the Habitat for Humanity "Methodist Build", which occurs in Austin every 2 years. We join with other churches to sponsor and help build a home for a person on need. Our last project was in 2021 - read more about it! In 2023, we will gear up for a new build! Find out more about Austin Habitat for Humanity.
We host a wonderful and very decorative Pumpkin Patch each year right in front of the church. The Patch is well known to the local community as THE place to buy pumpkins and take pictures with the kids. The patch is a cooperative effort between MUMC, Pumpkin Patch Fundraisers, Inc., and the Navajo Indians. The patch supports the missions and ministries of Manchaca UMC. When October rolls around, our patch hours will be posted here. You will also find a link to volunteer your time in selling the pumpkins to our community!
Manchaca UMC is a proud partner and support of S.A.A.M., a community coalition of several churches in South Austin seeking to serve people in need of basic food, clothing, housing, and utility assistance.
Any person or family that solicits help is referred to the Post Road Community Center of Travis County. This department makes an assessment of the needs of the person or family. If this help is not enough, the department turns to S.A.A.M for additional funds.
