Celebrating Kim Carroll as a Declared Candidate for Ministry

On Sunday, May 24, in worship, we announced Kim Carroll (Director of Christian Education) as a candidate for ordained ministry.

From Kim:

Thank you so much for your words of encouragement and support over the last 25 years as I've grown in faith and discerned my call to ministry. Many of you have asked about my next steps on the road to be an ordained Deacon in the United Methodist Church. This fall, I'll be enrolling in the Perkins School of Theology at SMU to earn a Master of Arts in Ministry. This hybrid degree program is mostly online, which means that I'll be able to complete my school work while continuing to serve at Manchaca UMC. I'm looking forward to growing my knowledge and skill set in ways that will bring fruit to my ministry here.
