Opportunity to Hear Amanda Tyler

St. John’s UMC is excited to host Amanda Tyler, author of How to End Christian Nationalism and lead organizer of Christians Against Christian Nationalism on Saturday, April 11^th  at 10:00 AM at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 2140 Allandale Road, Austin, TX78756

This timely and thoughtful conversation with Amanda Tyler, Executive Director of the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty and leader of Christians Against Christian Nationalism will examine Christian Nationalism, the belief that Christianity should dominate civic life. We will also explore what Christian Nationalism means for our faith and our shared life.

As the Christians Against Christian Nationalism Movement explains, Christian Nationalism “seeks to merge Christian and American identities, distorting both the Christian Faith and America’s Constitutional Democracy.”

This event will feature a moderated conversation with Amanda Tyler, including questions from a panel. You are invited to submit questions in advance to help shape the discussion.
