"God put this power to work in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the age to come. And he has put all things under his feet and has made him the head over all things for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all." Ephesians 1:15-23
On Sunday September 8, MUMC had the honor of hosting Rev. Teresa Welborn as part of our 150 Year Celebration! Teresa originally served as the associate pastor from 2001-2004.
She shared that MUMC informed and influenced her. Like Paul praying for the church in Ephesus (Ephesians 1:15-23), she prays with gratitude for us.
Rev. Teresa acknowledged the challenges of these changing times and the sense of loss in many churches. However, she taught that memories empower us to choose life and joy. We can allow memories to inspire us!
"For all that has been - Thanks. For all that will be - Yes."
May we care for the city, the people in our community, and be hopeful for how God will move in our lives. - Thank you for your message, Teresa!
