The altar rail offering for month of May is designated for local missions. The Missions team has many local active outreach ministries like our food pantry serving the needs of the surrounding community; the weekend food program for children facing food insecurities; the needed support for Akins High School students who are unhoused (homeless); and the support for Habitat’s Methodist Build for families who could not otherwise afford a home. In addition, during extreme weather conditions, Missions has also used altar rail donations to assemble flood buckets containing necessary supplies for the surrounding communities and made donations to UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) to help tornado and flood victims in the surrounding communities. There will always be a great need to support local missions and your generous donations to the May altar rail offering allows the Missions Team to continue this support. Thank you!
