Special Thanks to Our Heritage Sunday Volunteers

On Heritage Sunday, May 18, 2025, Manchaca UMC held a combined worship service to recognize graduating high school seniors and welcome several young people into church membership through baptism and confirmation. The worship service was followed by a church-wide fellowship meal that filled the Family Life Center to near capacity and lifted the spirits of all present.

We are very grateful to the team of volunteers led by Mary Looney who collected reservations, ordered food and supplies, decorated, and served during this event. Volunteers included Kendall Carroll, Danny Guardiola, Rise Sheckler, Jay Walker, Mary Rio, Trudy Bennett, Pat Stine, Andrew Landry, Leigh Anne Moore, Cora Tucker, and Richard Looney. We are also grateful for the faithful work of Pastor Chansin and our youth ministry team with our seniors and Kim Carroll and Rev. Jeanne Devine who led our confirmation class through several weeks of sessions, together with the many faith friends. And of course, we were blessed with the ministry of our worship musicians at both the worship service and meal. Your combined efforts have extended our faith and heritage to yet another generation of Christian leaders.
