Call to Prayer for Delegates of General Conference
We invite you to join us in daily prayer beginning Sunday April 7, 2024 for the days ahead of the United Methodist General Conference. We will follow the prayer guide supplied by The Upper Room. as found here.
UMC General Conference 2020 (Postponed)
Delegates gather in Charlotte, North Carolina April 23 to May 3, 2024 for the postponed 2020 General Conference session. As the conference was delayed and then rescheduled, delegates will meet for the first time since 2019. For more information and to follow the conference, please go to the website provided here.
The Three R's
A month before General Conference opens, an ad hoc group of more than 270 U.S. delegates is giving public notice of their three legislative priorities for The United Methodist Church’s top lawmaking assembly. Read more here.
In short, the Three R's are: Worldwide Regionalization, Revised Social Principles, and Removal of exclusionary policies against LGBTQ people. We encourage you to read the full article from the UMC to understand more about what these mean.
